Of course, there are numerous welcoming and peaceful neighborhoods to wander around, still, there are several areas that are better to be careful and definitely avoid. What parts of Budapest tourists cannot go in this article will mention areas that tourists should avoid to keep crime rates low.
1. District VIII – Józsefváros
Józsefváros or District VIII is a district that has been experiencing new development and thus has some relatively recent perceived safety crisis. Though it contains such places as Museum of Applied Arts and National Museum some areas of this district can be dangerous, especially in the evening and during the night time. But nevertheless it will be more safe not to venture as far as the areas close to Baross Street or the VIII district.
